Ever since the launch of Pokémon Go, it has given the Pokémon Company, Niantic and Nintendo a reason to celebrate, however since the past few days, there have been a few incidents that have already propped up pertaining to the game. Due to this, it has let to those who have been delving into the game bringing to light some tales of caution.
The reason behind that is due to the fact that the players have to stock up various kinds of potions, eggs and Poke balls by travelling into various destinations. They also have to compete at different kinds of environments including gyms. Due to this, it has been stated that the mechanics of the game has been capitalizing wherein players feel that they are trapped and getting robbed.
There was also a recent post that has been uploaded on Facebook by the Police Department of O’Fallon, Missouri. This was in regards to 4 suspects who had been arrested during the weekend at a PokéStop after they had used the Lure Module so that players who are not suspecting could be robbed at gunpoint.
There were many questions that were being asked in regards to how victims were getting robbed through the app. In the statement that the police had given on facebook, that in order to lure more players, a beacon could be added to a PokéStop. The app was being used in order to locate the people who were standing in various areas like the parking lot They also went on to say, that in order for the players to be noticed, while the game was in use, a glowing pink color referred that the visibility of the stop which was enhanced for more than 30 minutes. Even Philadelphia had a few cases that had been reported in regards to the same problem that was faced by the players of the game.
