Recently, the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook made an appearance on Mad Money and talked about the recent stock issues the company is currently facing. He had also addressed issues like Apple’s financial quarter revenue as well as the probable future of the company. The second part of the interview was much more interesting than the first, since the CEO became a tad bit personal during the interview. He mainly talked about his inspiration, his role model and the personal urge he has got which pushes him to create better products in Apple.
According to the present CEO, the main aim of the company is to provide the human race with the opportunity, technology and the ability to fulfil their wildest of dreams. As a little example, he showed how the use of the iPad could help an autistic person to properly interact and express their feelings to others. The incident Tim Cook was referring to was that of a video which was uploaded on the YouTube. It showed an autistic child communicating with the people around him using the iPad. According to Cook, the way Apple devices have created a change in the lives of its users is the biggest motivation he has to create more such products.
According to him, creating business is essential for the growth of the company, but he is not willing to do so by compromising with the quality of the company’s products, nor by deceiving his valued customers. One very important part of the interview was the subtle hints the CEO left regarding the San Bernardino case in which the company went against the United States government. He finally went on into saying that the United States have gotten dysfunctional and the citizens of the country must take a step forward and stand up to heal the country.
