Microsoft might be in the mood to release an another Xbox One gaming console in the mid 2016 time period, it will be with a downloadonly gadget that would be recognizably smaller than the current Xbox One model and will enter the arena as a potential threat to the new Apple TV. Reports say that the console would as a result see a price cut to be an affordable choice in this market.
Like the other Xbox products, this slimmer Xbox One would have the capacity to download games directly from the Windows Application Marketplace. But the lesser performance capability would make it impossible to run all the games available on the Marketplace and hence a smaller selection of games will be available for this device.
Microsoft is said to be taking a look at a late 2016 release for this new Xbox One, which would be sold alongside current models like the smaller Xbox 360 S which came after the first XBox 360. After all the upgrades in the latest XBox One, the device has failed to take off and this new leaner XBox One might have the desired effect on the XBox One sales.
