The big bet that Apple had played on Drake seems to be paying off positively for both ends as in the process the records see to be shattering. Views the new album that was released recently by Drake is exclusively on Apple Music and is available for streaming. The first week after the release of the album saw that it was streamed more than 250 million times.
The sales of Drake‘s album have set to be a release that is considered to be the biggest by any male artist ever since the 20/20 Experience of Justin Timberlake. Last year, the one week record was broken by Justin Bieber with his album Purpose being streamed 205 million times. The only difference here was the fact that his album was not exclusively only for Apple Music but was on all the music streaming service providers.
More than a million digital copies was sold by iTunes worldwide in the first week of the release of Views. The actual figures are yet to be known, however in order to match Justin’s last album, an over all of 968,000 would be needed by Drake. Weston Road Flows which is one of his new songs tells you a lot and it is not a surprise for Drake to see the shooting numbers which seem to be insane.
Drake‘s album managed to outsell with 600,000 copies on the first day itself this numbers was compared to the new album of Beyonce called Lemonade. It seems to be that the wait game for other streaming service providers may just end by May 13th until they can get their hands on the album Views. Before the release of Drake’s Album Views, he had spoken about it on Bets 1 Radio while he was being interviewed by Zane Lowe. The entire conversation revolved around the making of the album and approaches used by Drake for his craft.
