Each year the nomination of top 100 companies are drawn from the list of applicants. The winner is chosen after the votes of confidence gained form the public. There are a number of factors on which the name of the winner is decided.
Each year around 3000 people are asked to judge these companies by sharing their votes on the predetermined parameters. People are asked to explain what do they feel about the company and why do they feel so. The judgment call is always fair for the winners. Apple won the race among all the companies. Apple got major votes for administration and passion feeling. The highest rank gained by Apple was for authenticity, innovation, and thought-leadership and market individuality. Apple has possibly also taken the technicality slot back again from the other companies.
Google’s parent company Alphabet could only make it into the 100 top shortlisted companies in the world as quoted by CNET. Google could not quality itself as a company. Lacking brand awareness, Alphabet had to be happy with 21st position. Apple tops the chart and is ahead of the fellow companies like Samsung, Microsoft, etc. The top 10 companies are:

There are some lesser known names in the list however they have much industrial importance and play an important role on their part in the business.
