Finally a light bulb socket which lets you control the mechanism via your iPhone device, the iDevice is a standard socket directly goes in between the standard bulb and the fixture placement for the light. This allows the user to control the device via Siri Voice commands.
The installation of the socket is very simple and easy. The installation of the product will only take couple of minutes. The light fixture can be screwed the way you would like to see the light bulb first and then the light bulk can be fixed later on. The button towards the side of the socket can easily allow the user to switch on and switch off the socket without making the user touch their iPhone device. According to the claim of the company, the socket can easily work with all light bulks upto 60W. These bulbs could be CFL i.e compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs, incandescent or halogen bulbs.
Post making the fixture of the socket, the iDevices will make the user run through a quick dry run for connecting the WIFI setup. Once the user connects the socket via the WIFI network, they can easily switch off the light bulb using their iPhone. In fact that is not all. The socket also allows the user to adjust the brightness of the bulb. There is a LED light bulb within the socket which is actually independent of your bulb. You may manually control the color, contrast, brightness of the LED bulb using the app. The iDevice has recently got an additional support for the voice commands using the Alexa hardware of the Amazon. Though there are a lot of similar options available in the market however none of them has the Homekit option. The iDevice is slightly costlier than the other available options in the market.
