It is not necessary that in order to share a 360 degree photo on Facebook, you need to have a 360 degree camera. Facebook has recently launched 360 photos which is said to be a new format that supports that uploading of various images and panoramas that are taken from particular photo apps and 360 degree cameras. It is also believed that these flat photos will be converted automatically by Facebook into images which are said to be interactive; this can also be seen if the user tilts the screen of their smartphone while they are using the Android and iOS versions of the Facebook app.

Even the news feed of the person will have the immersive 360 photos that can be sorted easily. This can be done by going to by going to the right hand side of the photo and selecting the compass icon. The click and drag feature will be allowed if you are working on the web. Apart from that, the other way you can view the 360 photos using the Samsung Gear VR and Oculus  Rift headset.

A state of the art video camera was created by the company especially for the 360 degree feature, debuted during the April’s F8 Developer Conference; Surround 360 is the name that was given to the new camera.
