It seems that Apple has a lot of plans about their new setups and Ideas pertaining to the Indian market. In conversation with Tim Cook the CEO of Apple, NDTV managed to get a lot of information pertaining to what the company has plans. During the interview, Cook spoke about getting various kinds of services in the country. This included the Apple Pay feature also, bringing its retail stores to the country; it is also believed that during his latest visit in the country, Tim was having various kinds of discussions with government officials and various carrier heads.
It was even noted in the Interview that Cook spoke about Apple’s plans towards large investments by starting up a new development office that will create a job opportunity for around 4,000 professionals as well as for app developers a new accelerator program. Cook also confirmed that there were a few talks that had happened between him and a few banks pertaining to the Apple Pay feature a various other services.
In his statement he said that pertaining to the Apple Pay future, the company is trying to understand what they need to do as they want to bring the Apple Pay feature into the country. In order to understand the perspective about mobile payments, he even went ahead and met with a few banks and was encouraged with what he had heard. Cook also went on to say thathe sees a future in India for the Apple retail sector. He stated that as of right now, they are looking at India holistically and that is why they are taking a step back. As of now they are working to get the iOS developer community moving in the country with the help of the accelerator program. When asked about the competition and the low priced Android devices, Cook stated that the company had no play to play on the same grounds, he wanted the Indian consumers to buy the products at the same or similar proof of what it is sold in US.
