There were a few images that were leaked earlier in the week which showed the new iPhone 4.7″ model along with a possibility of the iPhone supporting the laser auto focus feature. There has been a lot of rumours that have been seen pertaining to the iPhone 7 plus. Even in March of this year, there were claims being made through leaked images about the so called dual camera module. Now in the new set of image leads, there is a possibility that the phone may come with 256GB storage.
The Weibo images claims that apart from the so called dual camera module that was seen, the images also show a memory chip with a storage capacity of 256 GB suggesting that for the first time, Apple plans to introduce an iPhone with a storage variant on the higher end. What can also be noted through the images is the fact that the storage capacity of the iPhone 7 line‐up would include chips that are 16GB, 64GGB and 256 GB in size suggesting that the 128GB is being replaced with the 256 GB sized chip. It is also safe to say that the 16GB size is here to stay based on this particular leak. This new leak also collaborates with the report that had been released earlier in the year which had made similar claims about the company planning to introduce a capacity option that is higher with the iPhone 7 line‐up.
It is obvious that there would be a need of extra storage space considering that there is a second camera option coming into place. The one thing that is odd is the fact that with this new camera option, the 16GB still stands in place even though the new iPhone would offer features like images that are of higher quality and 4k videos.
