Israeli Based Company Cellebrite Said To Provide Assistance To FBI For Unlocking San Bernardino Shooter’s iPhone

As per the report that was recently released by the Israeli Netnews, a third party company whose name was not out in the open that had offered to help the FBI in unlocking the iPhone of the shooter of the San Bernardino case has finally been released. The company that is Israeli based is called Cellebrite and is known to be a forensics company that is specialized in unlocking and breaking mobiles in Israel.

In the effort of breaking the iPhone of the terrorist, it is said that the FBI is using their services so that the protection that is on the locked iPhone of the terrorist can be broken. The company is yet to give its official response about the same. However if in case it does manage to do this, then the stakes of a showdown legally is very high between the company and the government which can also land up in an ending that can be abrupt.

In the digital forensic field, Cellebrite is said to be a company that is considered to be one of the best and is also in the lead. They have been known to work with the biggest law, defense and intelligence agencies and authorities for a very long time now. As per the contract that was signed in 2013 between the company and the bureau, the company provides various kinds of assistance with the decryption technology.

The official comment was declined by Cellebrite as well as nothing is known about how or what the company plans to do about how they are going to unlock the iPhone of the terrorist. As per what was said to CNBC by John McAfee, he said that neither Apple nor Tim Cook would be happy on this particular solution that the FBI has come up with.
