The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook gave his first single appearance in the front page of the TIME magazine a few days back. The issue of the magazine published a long interview with Cook on the matter of Apple and the FBI fight on the issue of iPhone encryption. According to Tim Cook, he is very uncomfortable while fighting with the government on this issue. But, Apple is continuously fighting with the government for their civil liberty. Throughout the interview Tim highlighted only one issue, Apple’s arguments for the past one week. Apple’s arguments include freedom of speech in the area of iOS code, right to privacy and lot more.
Cook further discussed on the interview, how all these began and went along. He said that he has already shown disappointment regarding the way the case was handled. Ignoring the running case, Tim proceeded by saying that he is not at all happy with the government tactics.
Cook further said that today’s world is the ‘golden time of surveillance. We have cameras everywhere including our phones and smartphones in our pockets. According to him encryption and strong security of iPhone, will not held back the law from collecting intelligence. No one is going nerd. As far as technological level is concerned, according to Tim Cook, Apple will go on ramping iPhone security using each new OS. In his words Apple must stay one step forward than the bad guys.
This is exactly what a recent report says. Apple is going to create tougher security for iCloud that is not possible even for Apple to hack it if forced to do so, by entangling client’s password to the main point of encryption. When asked about Donald Trump boycotting Apple products, Cook preferred to remain a diplomat.
