The San Bernardino case between FBI and Apple is heating up quite fast. Every new day there is some kind of a new comment which is being added to the whole list. The latest development in this case is the comment of Grady Judd, the Sheriff of the Polk County. According to him, whenever the law will have any problem regarding the security of any iPhone, the county will immediately get a court order for Apple. Moreover, if the company denies complying with the court order, the County Sheriff will immediately put Tim Cook behind bars without a second thought.
He went on further into stating that they are above the law and do not really care what was said by the Federal Judge or even the state judge. On the other hand, neither Apple, nor its CEO is over the law, but the county sheriff is. Thus, it is not only Apple’s duty but they actually are bound to help the FBI even if it is against their better judgment.
Even after all of these threats, a question remains on how Grady Judd, the County Sheriff of Polk is going to make this threat a reality. Another ironic feature of the whole threat and its realization is that the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook is a citizen of California, and there is a huge chance that he will never in his life set foot in Polk and also has one of the strongest legal shields shielding him.
These comments were made by the sheriff during a press conference which was held after a murder case in the County. In this case the main suspects had actually beat up, sexually assaulted and murdered a man. Moreover, they had actually taken pictures of the whole crime and showed it to other people.
