The Government wants a “master Key”, it can really help them. But Apple is adamant; they will not listen to any requests. Syed Farook’s iPhone continues to be the centre of this mystery. It contains some answers, which can change the direction of this investigation. They can’t create a backdoor, it will compromise the privacy and people will clearly question Apple’s policies. Tim Cook knows the verdict will have a deep impact on everything and he is ready. Apple’s lawyers are trying to put up the best possible arguments, but all of them are dismissed.
This is a big issue and the matters related to it are equally important. Several companies are supporting the tech giant and they know how important privacy is. But the government thinks; Apple is completely wrong here. They are diverting from the main issue and it is dangerous. The encryption battle is getting more and more complicated and various organizations are expressing their opinions. Whenever a security related matter surfaces, companies must assist law enforcement bodies and the authority is a firm believer of this.
Privacy matters to a certain extent, but their argument is not valid here. But assisting is a different thing and creating backdoors is totally different.
