Just when the world thought that Apple was all alone in the fight that is in connection to the Saint Bernardino Shooting, it seems like that is not true after all. The company seemed to have the hearts of a few people who have stood up in support of the company. In one of the company’s store that was located in San Francisco, there was a group of people who stood outside protesting against the government’s order.
Homes Wilson, the co‐founder of FFTF in his statement to Apple Insider stated that what began as a small privacy issue, if looked under a microscope, it will be seen that the online security’s future will actually be a very big issue.
The advocacy group Fight for the future is connected to the internet rights. They apparently support the company’s decision to fight back with the government. This protest started a few hours after the open letter that was published by Tim Cook went viral. In the letter, Tim vowed that he would challenge the request made by the government to use special firmware to unlock the iPhone.
A court order had been sent to the company during the week, the company had been directed to provide FBI with the way that they could access the shooter of San Bernardino Syed Ryzwan Farook’s iPhone 5c phone. In the order, the company was told to create a firm way that would act like a backdoor to access the iPhones without the pass code lock.
While Cook had put his foot down in the matter and also argued to the fact that the move that was demanded by the court was one which was risky. Ever since the fight of the company has started in this front, the FFTF have been keeping a close eye on the company’s move and was very happy to see that Tim was not willing to give in.
