The online streaming service CBS has confirmed the acquisition of over 2 million paid registered users with them. The executive chief of the CBS boasted about the exceptional quarterly performance of the company during the conference call event. The results are quite surprisingly for the users. Les Moonves the CEO of the company looked quite happy while speaking about their company’s performance on Thursday. The results were far ahead from their expectations.

Some part of the subscription has been credited by Moonves due to the exceeded earning by the company. The All Access was launched by CBS in the year 2014, October month. The subscription fee was decided at $6 a month for all the users. The paid users are provided with the access of the live programming as well as the CBS programming library for the users.

Showtime (owned by CBS) was one of the top services until 2015. It costs a subscription fee of $11 a month for the users. The Showtime app is known for the unique well known series, crime dramas, etc. The CBS app is also available for the Apple TV users. The app is unfortunately only available for the users using the fourth generation and the third generation Apple TV. The episodes of the recently broadcasted series is available a day after their air on the app for the users. CBS will be also venturing with “Star Trek: Discovery” weekly episodes to be aired in the year 2017. The episodes will be available once they have been broadcasted conventionally for the worldwide audiences.

According to the claims of the Moonves, it was heard that Apple was trying to negotiate with the streaming network partners for content distribution however the deal slowed down due to aggressive negotiations from the Apple’s end. Apple is currently working on developing their own content as well as trying to also acquire original series owners.
