Apple Likely To Launch Second Generation of Watch

It is expected that Apple will be launching their second generation Apple watch in September or October. Apple has not planned a huge launch for their Apple watch 2 this time. The suppliers for the Apple watch 2 are also not expecting huge orders for the wearable device this time as claimed by DigiTimes in their Tuesday report. Apple has also not revealed the number of units they will be producing for their Apple watch.

They are also not sure how many or who all will be handling the supply of their Apple watch. Apple launched their first wearable device in the year 2015 officially. It was a huge launch for the device and Apple’s supply chain also tried to keep up the demand for the device to enhance their sales. For the first few months, the sales of the Apple watches went online. The sales of the Apple watches has fallen down substantially now.

According to the estimate of the IDC, Apple is still the leader of the smartwatch market across the world. Last year the sales of the Apple watches in June quarter went down up to 1.6 million from 3.6 million units. The actual sales of the smart watches of the Apple are still unknown for the current year. DigiTimes also reports that, It is speculated that the smartwatch market will not be certainly driving profits and growth as much they anticipated from the market.

The second generation of the smartwatch is expected to be carrying better battery life, a good processor and some of the other inclusive rumored features. Though it is uncertain however Apple watch is also expected to be having inbuilt GPS and cellular facility. A report published a year ago mentioned that Apple first generation watch was also expected to carry similar features.
