Some battles never end, it goes on forever. Samsung will not let Apple have the upper hand;  they are already in a lot of trouble. Design patents are extremely important, Samsung copied many things. Apple was unable to prove it in front of the court, judges favoured Samsung here.

Supreme Court handles these matters very fast; they see the evidences and give the best verdict. Apple always uses some premium designs, Samsung models also featured them. Cook always boasted about their black rectangle, the rounded corners were stolen too. Samsung wants to invest on lawyers; their innovation team is very weak.

Some lower courts were angry on Samsung; they decided to cut Samsung’s profits. Samsung was adamant, they continued the fight. A simple design element can be taken from another brand; it’s not a big crime. Two judges investigated deeply and they understood Samsung’s argument. The design clicked and it got the necessary sales. The phone’s chip and camera came was totally unique, Apple had nothing to do with that. Samsung will share some revenue with Apple; they knew that from the beginning. It will account to a few million dollars, but Samsung’s purpose is served. The phone’s appeal depended on many features, other parts also influenced that. The exterior part is not identical with iPhone, even Apple knows that.

The case has many difficulties, but one thing is clear. The wires as well as the chips were totally different, no imitation happened here. Apple’s lawyer also backed out, his arguments were not that strong. Samsung needs this money; their financial condition is extremely weak. They can’t afford another debacle in 2016; their global foothold will become very weak. In the coming months, Apple will push harder. They badly need more money; Samsung may have to pay that. The changed amount will also be big, it will be negotiated.
