The Moto Z has been shrunk by Motorola down to a thickness of 5.19mm, the Z force on the other hand is said to be a smartphone that is a lot more powerful, it has a thickness of 6.9mm/ a single USB‐C port will be featured in the smartphone’s as a replacement of the headphone jack. A 3.5, jack adapter would be required to connect to the USB‐C. This adapter is said to be used as a 3.5 headphone plug instead of the regular headphone jack.

The devices of smaller companies who are into smartphone’s such as LeEco in the past also had designs where the headphone jack had been eliminated. However When you talk about the major manufacturing companies, Motorola is said to be the first in doing so. This is also a sign that the industry does seem to be shifting slowly from the headphone jack and coming up with new technologies and products which are wireless.

Even companies like Bose and Audeze which are known to for their headphones, are completely embracing headphones which are lightning connected as well as wireless, this step is being done during the time when there are plans to abandon the 3.5 mm jack. Even for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, the removal of the headphone jack is also part of Apple’s plan.
