Parts of the A9 processors is produced by TSMC, these are the processors that have been used in iDevices like the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6S Plus and even the latest iPhone SE. Apart from the iPhones, the A9X chips have also been used in the iPad Pros models of 937″ and 12.9″. As per the word that is floating across, it is also believed that the complete control of the production of A 10 has also been given to TSMC.

Samsung had dealt with a blow in their last year’s sales, though the Korean company still has an involvement in the production of the A9 chips which possibly commanded the lion’s share. There was a time when the charge for the Apple’s demand of the A series chips was being manufactured at an Austin, Texas manufacturing plant.

The dependence on Samsung was reduced gradually by Apple which is also the main competitor for Apple in the industry of smart phones. Though this move has not been an easy one however as TSMC is a major supplier that also has the capability to keep up with the demands of Apple. The company is without a doubt working in its re‐entry in the market of NAND memory for iPhones with the help of the spray on technology for the process of electromagnetic shielding.
