Apple’s latest program on recycling the phones and other devices seems to be a legit way of making money. Apple has been one of the most environment friendly companies. They have been associated with a lot of programs which are related to conservation of nature, earth, energy conservation, etc.

Apple’s recycling program is one of them. Apple took the initiative to recycle the old phones, computers and other devices and the gamble went highly profitable and marginal for the company. In a recent report shared by the tech giant for the materials and money recovered from their recycling goes as follows. Apple has recovered alone $40 million from their recycle program. The breakdown of the list goes as follows:

· Copper: $6.4 Million

· Aluminum: $3.2 Million

· Silver: $1.6 Million

· Nickel: $160,426

· Zinc: $109,503

Apple launched such programs for the conservation of the energy. The idea behind the venture has been very much successful for them. Apple claims to have recovered 0.03 grams of gold alone from one unit of their phone. Last year more than 90 million pounds of e‐waste was recovered from the old phones which is nearly the weight of the product they have sold 7 years back in market. The idea is a huge success and people seem to appreciating such great ideas on conserving energy. Apple is full of ideas and they are always in a hunger to try something new.

Apple could be seen as a company which is fitting in every segment of their performance. They have been a huge success in their phone, followed by laptop, software and now their recycling program. They are trying to reduce the wastage done while manufacturing the products. They have been using the same old parts over and again. In a huge way it is also protecting their costs on the resources.
