After the whole deal came into the light, many approached Tidal to get a statement. In a particular statement made by Tidal, he states that nothing was done wrong in this matter. Each and everything, starting from permission to making payments, all have been taken care of. He further stated that the payments details are not really known by the opposing plaintiffs. Moreover, Tidal also stated that the songs for which the opposing company filed a case were actually played and streamed only about 13000 times in the previous year.

Recently, after the case had been launched, Tidal had simply removed any song which was related to any of the two companies and or artists removed from the catalog. The original launch of the catalog in question was done way back in 2014, in the month of October. Later on, the album and the songs were bought by Jay Z from Tidal and re‐launched in the month of March, 2015. This was done keeping a new statement of mission in mind, which stated that the services will be much more artist friendly. Moreover, they offered to pay a relatively higher royalty amount than their competitors.
