That Apple is trying to bring revolution with the launch of its each and every device is well fathomed but truly it has brought out something that actually changed the life of a nine year old boy and for the better of course.
The Problem
Just at the age of three, Joshua Gomez started losing his hearing capability. His family and doctors tried to restore his hearing. But in spite of going under scissors for multiple times in the span of five years he received no positive sign. Moreover, the conventional aids used for hearing were unable to support his condition.
The Solution
When everything else failed and there was absolutely no hope then Children’s Hearing Centre at Stanford came across something which could be used to cure Joshua’s condition. Cochlear Baha 5 was the device using which the child was able to hear properly with both of his ears for the very first time. This device is originally used in iPhone.
The Difference
Unlike other hearing aids, Cochlear Baha 5 transmits sound directly to the inner ear after evading other sensitive parts of the ears which are unable to tolerate these devices. This app also helps to differentiate between different kinds of speech even in noisy circumstances and can catch the soft tone of children. Sound from iPad and iPhone can be directly transmitted via this app.
This step of Apple was appreciated and hugely lauded. Apple was also awarded because of this and they have taken this quite seriously and are working hard to make this more accessible to the needy people in their Apple store. They have also improved the iOS 10 feature. Apple’s commitment towards bettering people’s life was pointed out by one of its blind engineer.
