Whenever Apple wants to launch a new item, rumours invariably accompanies them. This time a Chinese website named Wechat posted a very vague report that the soon to be launched iPhone 7 can be availed in three varieties: iPhone 7, Pro and Plus. It also highlighted the fact that the previous rumour regarding the extinction of the 16 GB tiers can actually be executed. Though the report was not very clear yet it did not fail to create a stir.
Rumours that are reported
The rumours are concerned with the storage tiers which have always been a strong point of Apple, based on which they used to scale the selling prices. It has long been debated that the 16 GB storage tier is nothing but an embarrassment for the Apple but at this matter the company is quite lethargic and is not taking proper and timely steps. First the rumour surfaced that the range of the storage tiers offered will be 32/64/256 GB. But according to this recent report there is a slight change, the middle tier will be of 128 GB and all of them will be offered for all the three version of iPhone. But there is a little confusion. If the middle storage tier is of 128 GB, then not much people will seek the highest tier, so this decision seems a bit irrational.
Moreover, it was rumoured that this range 32/128/256 was for Pro models. In another report, published by Spain, iPhoneros points out to a similar source for the leakage of iPhone 6 boxes. However, after rigorous examination it was concluded that the spacing on the boxes’ side was tighter than it was in the actual. It also hinted at the price, which are quite similar to the previous models of iPhone 6. However, unnecessary importance is not given to these hazy reports but this has surely boosted the publicity!
