In recent times, we have seen companies like Lenovo and Samsung providing their users with virtual reality gears which will allow the users to see videos and images via a special gear. Piper Jaffray, one of the most reputed investment firms had a number of panels regarding this field. There were 13 more companies who had attended the panel. One of the companies in the panel, named IonVR had announced that they will be developing and launching a Virtual Reality headset during the fall season of 2016 only for iPhone users.
According to Gene Muster, one of the top tech analysts, the Virtual Reality headset created by IonVR would much more technologically advanced than the other Virtual Reality headsets available to the iPhone users at present. According to his reports, the existing products make use of the iPhone Retina display technology but are unable to provide with a perfect Virtual Reality experience to the users.
On the other hand, as per the reports of the panel, IonVR has the capabilities and the technology to introduce a much better and proper Virtual Reality experience for the iPhone users with their headset, but they will have to use hardware belonging to third party developers.
The technology IonVR is applying on their VR headset is called MotionSync. This will help to reduce the side effects of motion sickness one might have when using any VR headset with a mobile device, in this case, an Apple iPhone. Moreover, since the headset created by IonVR will be modular, it will enable the user to repair and replace only the affected parts and not the whole device.
The device is at present available to the users who are willing to preorder it at just $299 USD. The company promises to start shipping off the devices soon. On the other hand, as per reports by Munster, who had information from some of the representatives of IonVR, the headsets will actually be available at a price ranging between $100 USD and $200 USD.
