In Classrooms around the world, the popularity of Apple is something that is known, now unofficial announcement of the company stated that the efforts of the company through Connect ED seems to have helped off in the right way. They went on to say that across United States, more than 32,000 students have got the necessary help through the program. The most recent school that added to the list was the one located at Mississippi’s Indianola called Carver Elementary School.
Being the new addition of the connected program, the official count of the number of schools that have received the iPads now goes to 66. For those who do not know much about the program, the Obama Administration had started the program with an attempt to provide students and teachers cutting edge technologies. It was also pledged by the company in 2014 that they had plans of investing $100 million towards the education program in the form of various kinds of technology, computers and iPads. Presently around 114 schools are receiving aid from Apple
As a part of the connected efforts, 32145 students got iPads while 9,042 teachers were also a part of the list. Apple representatives have but are around 4,434 hours at various schools for the Apple Professional learning program. Along with that there has also been the installation of internet cables which is said to be 189 miles.
The whole goal of the Connected was to give students a chance to gain access to internet service which was high in speed. Apart from the contributions that have been made by Apple, Microsoft and Verizon have also put in their part of the efforts along with a few other companies. It has also been stated that Apple has put in efforts apart from the Connected by providing iPads and Macs to various other schools across the world.
