Steve Ballmer knows about Microsoft’s environment, he saw the company very closely. The responsibility is now on Nadella, he is doing quite well. Ballmer has nothing to saw to Apple; some activities just make him laugh. As per as innovation is concerned, Microsoft is way ahead.
Nine years passed on, Steve misses Microsoft. Apple’s business model is smarter, they don’t have anything else. They scored a big zero in technology and innovation, the marketing took them through. This is not taking them very far, Apple should realize that. The speed at which Microsoft is going is fast, Apple must press the thinking button.
Subsidized phones are common now; this idea never came in Steve’s mind. He never thought about involving the operators. AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile do most of their work periodically. He slammed iPhones long ago, he still regrets that. Apple went on to create history though? The exorbitant price never discouraged users, Steve still found a way to sell these magnificent phones. The phone bill took some amount of money each month, it never bothered users. The hardware business never interested Microsoft, they only concentrated on software. Prototypes were developed, but they still didn’t get the courage. Apple always played their cards tactfully, this is their biggest strength. Apple enters scary markets and creates history there. The difference is noticeable, both are tech giants.
From creating innovative keyboards to developing weird prototypes, it was innovation of the 1990s.Apple is doing something tight that Microsoft missed in the mobile business. The quick adaptation from hardware to software is the main key, Apple does it with ease. The research unit of Microsoft was headed by Steven Bathiche, he investigated keyboards and related keys. Screen applications never developed that much, the actions were slow. That work was basically primitive, interfaces were poor. The new Microsoft does things boldly and smartly, they outfox everyone else.
