The relation between the country’s government and tech companies will not become good so soon. The deadlock has happened on a totally different area, simple meetings will not resolve this. It is about policy and Apple puts the users first. WikiLeaks keeps on dumping emails and this is really hurting Hillary Clinton. Her private information is becoming vulnerable, Clinton never wanted that. The new government wanted to help Apple, but FBI is neutral. Apple’s lie was exposed here, Lisa Jackson’s emails proved it. They acted differently in front of the public, the secret activities continued. US government will never stop spying so soon, they want the information.
Lisa holds a top position in Apple, she knows about the internal policies. Apple is not strong enough to challenge FBI, they just protected their brand. The encryption was present, but it never interrupted the data flow. Customers were fooled yet again, they don’t know about backdoors. From talking about legal processes to notifying about warrants, Apple was very obedient. Different devices gave different patterns of data, every bit was useful. A special team was formed to deal with FBI, the requests came constantly. Apple’s ability is massive; they can turn off the encryption at any time. Users willingly give this information and they don’t miss out on anything.
Clinton was vocal about encryption; she didn’t think it will backfire. Handling the complex tech industry is different, relationships are delicate here. Clinton always mentions the old things, new reforms are not discussed. WikiLeaks made this thing complicated; there is no need to panic. Apple knows their boundary, they never cross that. Users will stay unharmed; the secure network will always protect that. Vulnerability is a dangerous issue, Cook must handle it. Jackson has special links with Clinton, her actions are normal. But Apple has to consider the bigger picture here.
