The cloud services company Upthere started back in 2012. The company was started by ex-OS X Chief Bertrand Serlet. The company took years to rise and develop their closed beta platform and started effectively last fall. The official services of Upthere with all the details of the pricing and the storage is finally available in market. The company has also dropped their beta label and is giving a free trial trial period of 3 months to all the users. The company started taking free signups of their services in October. They described their cloud services focused towards streaming.
Upthere easily allows the user to maintain and access the files on the cloud itself rather than making people upload files from one device and download from another. They have managed to close the monotony behind the local storage. The first app of the Upthere was released in November. The company also released the Camera and Home version of the app for the users. Upthere’s Home version is similar with iCloud or the Dropbox. Upthere’s Camera collects all your pictures and videos from the device.
Today the big question being asked by most of the consumer is, how much storage will Upthere be offering to the consumers? Upthere says that the offers for the consumers will be much affordable this time. For a monthly price tag of $4.99, the company is willing to offer storage of 200GB. The people with smaller needs 100 GB of storage can avail for $1.99/month. Additionally all the files shared with the user won’t be counted against the storage for the users.
The transition of 1TB of storage from 200 GB of storage is slightly costlier as the company directly asks for $21 from $5. For the people looking to find a reliable cloud storage services, Upthere allows a generous credit period to their users. The services are currently available in India, Canada, Hong Kong, Australia, UK and USA.
