Something is really wrong with Samsung; the bad things just keep on happening. The company prefers covering their mistakes, instead of investigating them. The fault happened in various departments, the executives took it as a collective failure. This is not the time for fault finding, they need powerful products now. The pressure was tremendous, Samsung had to act fast.
US carriers gave them the warning and they even refused to work with Samsung again. One bad product was damaging years of success, this was predictable. Regulatory bodies will not spare them, they want reports very soon. Apple’s share is healthy again, thanks to Samsung.
The “fire reports” made them terribly worried, production has totally stopped now. The replacement procedure will also come to a halt; they went way behind in the mobile ecosystem. Apple will definitely enjoy the advantages, but the real pressure will come from other android phone manufacturers. Quality control is something they totally ignored; the investigation will bring this point up. Consumer safety is the only thing they care about, nothing comes close. The decision received brutal criticism, Samsung chose the hardest path. Samsung’s nightmare was reflected in the stock exchange as well, investors sold their shares. Sales are poor, retail outlets are scared now.
This year is not hopeful at all, the game is over. The cost will haunt them, but no decision can be taken regarding that. Media companies predicted this; Samsung followed the path shown by them. They have admitted the fact that this one is unsafe. They can’t go on spending money like this; they had to swallow their pride. Analysts have shared the financial damages, but the brand’s image is terribly hurt. Overheating happened with various phones, but this was a bit extreme. Samsung was unlucky to face this; this is a lesson for all mobile manufacturers. People are having doubts for high-end products as well, the company’s name matters.
