Atlas which introduced its first wristband with certain flaws has launched its second edition with an attempt to redeem the previous wrongs but has not succeeded much. Though it has amended some faults and the newer version is quite wearable yet it still does not satisfy all the needs and demands of the wearers. There are many wow factors but there are worries as well which drags it down from the label of a ‘Great Watch’. Let’s watch out for the pros and cons.
The Positives
This time, Atlas has given more stress on the development of software than that of hardware. They have made the screen more durable and have expanded the memory thrice than the previous version. Water can’t harm the watch to a depth of 30 metres, which is good news for the swimmers.
This time the library is more spacious and the trainee can teach the watch some new moves and also can change an existing workout according to their preferences. Its capacity of tracking heart rates is quite good. And this time the accompanying mobile app is equally helpful. Thus in all it passes the test as fitness watch.
The Negatives
But wait, there are certain features or the lack of those which will bother the wearer. The watch can’t accurately recognize the motion and sometimes finds difficulty in tracking them as well. There is difference between the built-in exercises and the real workouts. The strap which is tough is also not comfortable for long wears which is a blessing in disguise as the battery life is not strong enough to support that as well. Moreover, they offer no HealthKit support. The good thing is, the watch is cheap ($199) and proves to be a great help for beginners.
