Investigators are mainly questioning three mobile carriers, but Apple’s name was also mentioned. Apple dominates the country’s mobile sales; the court’s decision can hit them very hard. Japan promotes fair trade but three companies didn’t follow that path. From Softbank Group to NTT Docomo, the companies stopped the sale of old iPhones. Other retailers were cheated and the competition was totally killed.

Cook’s company was not directly involved with this, but the investigation brought out some strange facts. The agreement had many flaws, Apple told them to control the supply. Trade can’t happen in this way, all companies should get equal opportunities. The small firms are finding it very hard to do business, they contacted the commission. The bigger corporations sold costly product and Apple got more money. Reuters shocked everyone by bringing out this report, Apple never answered them. Apple takes benefits from different markets, but trade unions will not spare them. A similar case happened in USA, Apple gave $400M from their pocket.

But Apple’s argument is not totally invalid; they can do the necessary things to control the market. The company must ensure that the profit margin is widened; some illegal moves were made unintentionally. Apple’s global brand will not be affected by this; they will skip this small mistake. The court settlement will cost a few millions, they can bear that. Japan’s carriers will come out of this problem swiftly, Apple is at fault here. The extra models are collected by Apple and sold at other markets. Apple kept a note about Samsung and they did this small tweak to beat Galaxy 7. Samsung’s phone is much costlier on paper, Apple knows that.
