One of the latest projects from the Garage team of Microsoft is called Thinga.Ma. The project aims in providing users with the benefit of sharing and organizing objects of the real world through the new app of the iPhone. Presently this is part of a beta testing with is only on invitation basis. The photos that are snapped by users are isolated automatically through the app, due to this, the objects are allowed to be eliminated that are in the app and can be managed easily on shelves which are digitized for organization and sharing purposes.
It has been noted by Microsoft, that the GrabCut is behind used which is a code that the Microsoft Research team has developed. This code automatically separates and recognizes the objects that are there in the photos. There are a lot of things that we care about which are in the physical form. We go ahead and share these moments or photos to our near and dear ones however at times it may be a little to organize them properly.
In order to bridge this gap, Thinga.Ma has been designed to ensure that this is taken care of. The GrabCut code is used which had been developed around 10 years back by the Microsoft Research team. This codes all the unnecessary things that are there in the image. The process of just taking out something from the background of the photo that is not needed only makes the photo look more like the real thing. This is regardless of the fact that it is a representation that is on a digital format. There are even a few cool themes that have been added so that you can go ahead and use them to enhance your stiff and show them off. The categories and themes that are present are truly very beautiful to look at and will make your photo a really good looking one.
