It has been uncovered by a developer that the Photos app of Apple is said to employ object and facial recognition so that Moments can be generated. The latest update of Apple is said to be one of the most exciting features of the iOS 10. It is also said that now the Computer Vision which is said to be advanced will be integrated in the app. At the WWDC, the macOS and iOS 10 was released to the developers by the company.
It was discovered by one of the developers that the now the recognition of various kinds of facial expressions, scenes and hard coded objects will be possible by the Photos app. The gestures include suspicious, surprised, smiling, screaming, neutral, disgusted and greedy facial expressions.
Another impressive thing about the photos app is the ability to detect 4432 scenes and objects from zucchinis to alleyways. The scene and objects recognitions that the Photos app uses can yield various kinds or search results in different languages.
Craig Federighi during the keynote of WWDS stated that with every photo, there are around 11 billion computations that can be detected. This would include things like a mountain, water horse etc. With this feature, any kind of search can be done easily making it really powerful. Moments can be generated using the scene and objects recognition, the feature of the new video montage which is present in the app for Photos will stitch automatically the media based on the metadata of the lactation, date and theme. There are around 33 categories of various sorts which can be generated which includes last weekend, day in history etc.
The reason why this is really important is due to the fact that the Photos app of Apple which is said to be improved for the iOS 10 is very similar to the Photos app of Google and uses the various recognitions features like scene, object and even face.
