Samsung and Apple have always been tough competitors for each other. The competition has not just limited to the devices, however now things are taken to another level as it seems to be that when it comes to mocking ads that Apple comes up with, Samsung may have felt that is was the thing to do, however that does not seem to be the case.
It was noticed recently by CNET that the latest video ad that Samsung had come up with seemed to show off the capabilities of 4k video recording of the devices that are recently being launched. The title of the ad, states ‘Captured on Samsung’ Galaxy S7, if you compare it to ‘Shot on iPhone’, this is not as catchy as they felt it would be. With that also you can clearly see that the Apple ad campaign is actually the inspiration for Samsung.
Both Samsung S7 and iPhone 6s offers the choice of 1080p at 60fps or the 4K video at 30fps, so if you look at the capabilities front also, there seems to be no differences. Between the two ad campaigns, there is a difference; if you look at the videos and photos that are used in the ad of Samsung seems to have a more professional touch. This is because in a few videos, it can be seen that a few shots has been done with the help of drones or the helicopter.
In the campaign that Apple has come up with, the use of the videos or photos seem to be by the one’s that customer’s have shot, so in this front the comparison like front may not really be applicable. Apple’s recent campaign of Shot on iPhone is focused on football and seems to coincide with the time with the European Football Championship is going on.
