The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Apple had announced recently that for the Earth campaigns around $8 million was raised with the help of the recent apps. In April, the initiative was launched by Apple as a part of the efforts the company is putting in towards doing its bit for the environment. There have been many developers who have participated and offered various kinds of content which was themed based. They also went ahead and donated the entire proceeds to WWF during the campaign.
The WWF and Apple apps for the Earth campaign were in raising the necessary awareness amongst people. In order to help in the WWF conversation support, the company had managed to generate a total proceed of more than $8 million towards the work that the organization does. The results had been informed by WWF during the WWDC that took place in San Francisco.
The campaign which was a ten day program had taken place in April; there were 24 developers who were part of the campaign working together and in their ways coming up with one app at time. They did whatever they could so that they could help the planet in their own way. Through educational and interactive content that was created for the Earth related apps exclusively. The participants were given the opportunity through the campaign to be engaged in conservation actively and also be a part of the WWF’s mission by contributing to it.
The Apps for Earth campaign that was recently noted by Apple, with WWF, this was the second partnership that was followed after the last year’s announcement that was made by the company where in they plan to go ahead to work along with the organizations and do their part to help in protecting the forests which are managed in China.
