Apple Confirms in the upcoming months, Switzerland, Hong Kong and France will have the Apple Pay facility available The rumors pertaining to Apple Pay coming to Hong Kong, Switzerland and France were finally solidified by Apple during the keynote of the WWDC. For any of the above mentioned region, a firm time frame has not been provided by the company.
However, the official webpage for Apple Pay that has been developed every since the feature had been launched. All the retailers, credit card and bank information that are already a part and will also be taking part in future is updated there. In three areas, MasterCard and Visa will be accepted, however only in Hong Kong, American Express users can use their cards.
In France, the card issuers who will be included initially would be Ticket Restaurant, Orange, Carrefour Banque, Caisse Epargne, Boon and Banque Populaire. Apart from Apple, there are 18 other retailers that will also be onboard the list; this would include Simply Market, Sephora, Parkeon, Orange, FNAC, Dior and Boulanger.
There are limited issuers that will come onboard when talking about Switzerland; this would be the Swiss Bankers, Cornèrcard and Bonus card. When we talk about the supporting retailers apart from Apple, there are 11 others which will include Tag Heuer, Spar, Lidl, Avec and Aldi. There are 6 Banks that can be chosen by those who live in Hong Kong; this would be Standard Chartered, HSBC, Hang Seng, Bank of China, DBS and Bank of East.
He service would be getting the support by retailers in the region who are known to be the best. A total of 29 partners which also includes a few American brands like Starbucks, Pizza Hut and Seven Eleven would be in the list apart from various numerous companies of China. During the WWDC keynote, there were major announcements made in regards to Apple Pay that Apple had to share. One of them was pertaining to making payments for Mac using Apple Pay.
