This year, in comparison to the product launches, the developer conference has said to not get too much hype; however the one thing that is an exception is the fact that the event is said to start soon. Apple has always been criticized by Analysts about the fact that the company relies on the sales of the iPhones for the profits.

Another thing that has made them target would be in regards to the failure of the development of recurring revenue streams. It is believed that the company has plans to address these critics by making a change substantially in the way the business is done.

Apple has plans to come up with a new sharing plan that is being offered to the app developers in regards to the revenue. Instead of taking 30%, the company will take 15% provided that the apps will work on a model that is subscription based instead of a onetime payment.

Phil Schiller, the senior SVP of worldwide marketing in his recent interview with The Verge stated that the revenue plan of the subscription based is said to be for all the apps that are present under the various categories. Earlier it was only available for just a few apps. Another thing is also in store is the fact that now, for the first time, Apple will also allow the benefit of search apps which can become a revenue source that is potentially significant. During the WWDC, it is also said that there are a lot of things that would be unveiled by the company.

There is also pressure being applied on the company in regards to Siri after Amazon, Google and various other companies have bragged about the artificial intelligence they have come up with along with the investment that was mad on them.
