It can be really confusing ass to which speaker setup or platform offers the voice control technology that is the best, is the Alex of Amazon Echo, Google Now, Cortana or Siri. Well off late we have seen various new hardware’s that have been launched by Apple, this also includes the iPad Pro 9.7″ and iPhone SE. Well even on the software front, there seems to be an excitement that has been in the air. It is believed that Apple has plans to bring for the next version of Mac OS X the Siri voice control system.
Over the years, there has been a lot of progress that has been made to Siri. The development of Siri has gone to an impressive level, just from handling various kinds of tasks on iOS devices, now it seems to be that now even Apple TV also has the facility. The absence of Siri on Mac has been an omission that is glaring. Microsoft’s Cortana has been seen running on the PCs of Window ever since the last year’s launch of Windows 10, however now, it is also working on the Lumia phones. It also seems to be that Siri seems to have a lot of rivals that are lined up.
The option of voice search by Google has not only built into their app that is for iOS however for Android as well. Even Amazon launched recently the new speaker system called Echo which is said to include the voice assistant as of now; this is only available for the customers who are in the US.
In order to see how the different voice assistants manage to cope with the various commands and requests, a lot of research was done under factors like understanding foreign and regional accents, how the natural language questions were dealt with, breathe of knowledge, activating and running different apps, accidentally being switched on, knowing which the fastest etc was.
On the mobile arena, the accuracy and flexibility of Siri was something that was outstanding, however it still does have competition when it comes to digital personal assistance. Siri and Apple would have to cut their worked out in such a way that the control of the future of digital assistants manage to stay in their hands.
