It was clearly misplaced last year about the optimization at Google’s I/O2015, Ever since then, a lot of grounds have lost by premium Android smartphone as an attractive platform for tables are yet to be created. The larger problem is also the fact that Android softwares are getting the Google releases every year. Last year it was noted by the Google I/O2015 ‘s summery that there was less than a 10th percent of active Android installed based which had upgraded to the Android 5.0 Lollipop version that had been introduced around the same time of Apple’s iOS 8.
Furthermore, it was seen that only around 35.6% now runs an Android that is two years old while around 32.5% are running the 3 year old Android version. The remaining shows that the software is around 4 or more years old. Another aspect that has been hitting on is the fact that the premium amounts of the Android phone has not actually gone down. Samsung’s Note and Galaxy S models have a retail price that is either on the same grounds or higher than even the latest iPhone model of Apple.
The reason being the ASP of Android is plummeting due to the fact that a lot of devices can be been getting sold in the low end or mid end tires. If modern phones were being delivered by Android at prices that were lower, then users could easily get their hands on the Marshmallow version which is not really happening.
The Android 6 Marshmallow was not a release that was high powered which targeted the premium and expensive Android phones. In fact it was said to be a release that would help out basic phones for the markets that were emerging and making them modern. Even the Android One was said to be a huge flop.
