The fallout from FBI and Apple’s stand out pertaining to the San Bernardino case is still going on. In February, a bipartisan bill had been introduced in the House of Representatives. As per the bill, it was seeking the protection of the encryption against any legislation on the state level that could compromise it in any way. However, now in the Senate a new bill has been introduced.
As per the reports of Engadget, it states that the bill would deny any rights the government has to hack any number of computers remotely by using just one warrant. Thus was introduced by Ron Wyden the Democrat and Rand Paul A Republican, The officially statement stated that the senators of a bipartisan group have introduced the Stop Mass hacking Act which is a new bill. This bill would block any expanded powers for hacking that the US Department of Justice has and or claims it would need to keep up with the sophisticated criminals of the 21st century.
It is believed by both the senators that the US Department of Justice is very close to stepping out of the constitutional bounds. It was previously vowed by Wyden to filibuster a Senate Intelligence Committee bill which was FBI supported. As per this bill, Other tech companies and Apple would have been forced to decrypt their devices for the agencies of the law enforcement.
