Apple has finally released its plans for releasing its quarterly dividends on May 12th. Apple will be paying 0.57 cents per share to their investors in stocks. Apple will be paying $2.9 billion in outstanding dividends for the quarter. After each quarter Apple pays a dividend to its users about a month and half later. Apple declared its modern quarterly dividend plan in 2012. The upcoming dividend to be paid in month of May will be Apple’s eight dividend plan after the company’s 7 for 1 stock split.
Talking about the last 4 quarters Apple has paid more than 12 billion in dividends to their shareholder which is roughly 3 billion a quarter. Although the number of dividends of the company is reducing due to the company’s offer of stock buy out from the original owner. The payout scheme for May will be 57 cents.
Apple has been intensively buying the stocks originally form the owners. Buying back the stock from the original owners enhances the market of the Apple. With the scarcity of the shares in the market the value of their shares goes high automatically. In last one year Apple has nearly spent 37 billion towards buying back their stocks from the owners. In the most recent March quarter Apple has spent over 7 Billion in buying back the stock from the market.
Apple has spent over 117 billion in buying back the stocks form the market ever since the program has been launched. Last summer Apple released record earnings in the market however due to weak sales in China most of the stock holders started selling their share giving the company an opportunity to buy them at lower price as the stock value of Apple went down at that time. They snatched 14 billion worth shared from the market.
