A new project is in the pipeline by the developers of Siri which is the virtual assistant for iOS devices. The details of the new project were shown in the Washington Post. As per the report,the creators of Siri are now working on a new technology of artificial intelligence called Viv. It is believed that this new technology will do a lot more than any of the present Virtual Assistance that is available today which also includes Siri.
Adam Cheyer and Dag Kittlaus were the founders of Siri and are also now dealing with the Viv project. In 2003, the initial work for Viv had already started this was even prior to the work that was involved on Siri. In comparison to Siri, there are a lot of things that can be done by Viv which Siri is not able to do. There have examples been given in the report that was made by the Washington Post where Viv will even order a pizza from you without the person downloading any app or even typing anything.
Viv works with various kinds of 3rd party apps thanks to the deep integration that is present. It does various kinds of activities apart from just ordering your pizza. If you want a cab, you can even let Viv know and you will get the various options that are open for you. It is also believed that Viv is very similar to the Alexa platform of Amazon. They not only rely on the service integration of third parties however will also go ahead and the use of third party apps are bypassed as it is more in favor of communicating directly with the service.
Google as well as Facebook have tried to acquire Viv however the talks did not go as per plan. At a major industry conference, for the first time, Viv will be shown to everybody.
