The Apple Pay feature has become one of the most convenient methods for purchase payments due to its one tap method, however not for those who still want to collect their reward points. A separate step is required for this particular step which is generally using the app of the store.
Kohl’s the famous department store has recently announced that a solution to this particular problem has been found and now customers can use Apple Pay and still accrue their Reward points with he help of Yes2You.
If a person adds the Yes2you card with their Apple Wallet, then they can use any card for the payment and still accumulate their reward points. Presently around 250 stores have this service available; however by the end of the month, the nationwide branches of Kohl’s will offer this service. Being the first retailer in the list of supporters for Apple Pay, the department store chain came onboard last year in October and that time, even Apple had made an announcement that the reward card support was in the pipelines.
The other companies that support Apple Pay and are also in line with the loyalty cards rewards program include While Foods, Wegman, Panerra, JC Penny and Dunkin’ Donuts. Recently, 20 more banks came onboard the list of Apple Pay supportive services while the conventional cards are still being notched by the company. Other companies that are in the list of such support also include Chick‐fil‐A and Au Bon Pain. The companies that have not yet made the transition include Forever 21, Marriott and Anthropologie.
In the US, the weakest link for Apple pay in general has become the merchant support. Practically every bank that has tied up with this feature are participating however there are a lot of retailers which are yet to accept this kind of payment.
