The recent earthquakes that hit Ecuador and Japan was very devastating, while there were many lives that were lost; there were also homes that were destroyed. The earthquake that hit Japan was measured at 7.0 magnitudes, while a 7.8 magnitude earthquake had hit Ecuador the next day. A lot of companies and organizations are coming up with various ways to help the people who were affected with the earthquakes. In the list is none other than the tech giant Apple. In order to help the people as well as provide whatever support they can, the company has partnered up with American Red Cross and is even accepting donations that are ranging from $5 to $200.
iOS users who wish to contribute towards the cause can do so as the company has provided the facilities and is accepting donations not just on the App Store but also on iTunes. The Partnership between the Red Cross and Apple is also been promoted by the company in the form of links that are available on the main page. It has also been specified by the company that 100% of the donations that the company receives will be sent for this particular cause. It has also been stated that those who make the donations will also get an email with a receipt attached to it.
Even in the past, we have seen that American Red Cross and Apple have partnered up so that they could go ahead and raise money not just for the victims by also the areas which have been affected due to natural disasters. Even in September of last year, the company had gone ahead and accepted donation for the Mediterranean refugee crises and provided the necessary help.
Even Nepal was another place that had received help from the company and in 2011; the company had done the same thing for those that were affected in Japan due to the Earthquakes.
