Walmart is Apple’s new rival and no one ever thought about this. Apple Pay started expanding very fast and practically they had no competitors. Android Pay is not that popular and this was their golden chance to beat Google. Walmart has tons of offline users and a fixed number of people will visit their outlets every day. If they want to promote something, traffic is not an issue. The promotional video of this app accumulated 33,111 views and surprisingly people are unhappy. The new mobile application focuses on making matters easy, but normal users prefer Apple Pay. Nothing new is included in this one, so the idea is flawed.
While shopping, we often forget to bring our lists and this increases our problems. From storing receipts to tracking gift cards, Walmart Pay will handle everything for you. They added an option to refill prescriptions, which is simply brilliant and the shopping list received amazing upgrades. They are bringing the entire shopping experience to your mobile and even payments will be completed via your smartphone. But creating a separate app for the iOS environment is not a good move. Users get confused when they receive too many options and Apple’s service will most likely come out victorious. Using two apps for the same thing is dumb and useless.
Walmart’s entry to the digital wallet section surprised tech analysts and they can’t find the answer. Walmart challenged Apple for the first time and their highly advanced app has failed to attract customers. The design is fantastic and users learn the operation is a few minute. But the data mining aspect is clearly evident here. They want user data to engage with them online.
Relevant choices will be given to them via social platforms and this concept is backdated. They are not charging anything but the free version will not serve their purpose.
