A lot of things have changed after the recent attack in USA. The recently happened San Bernardino case has changed a lot of things for the company. Apple too has landed themselves in a thick soup reportedly after saying no to FBI for helping them find a crack I their product.
Apple has always been a consumer company. They have always backed their consumers and for them their customers’ data is at utmost priority. FBI took over the company for a ride after filing a case against them. FBI wanted strict rules to be imposed against all the tech companies who refuse to cooperate in legal investigations. Recently Senate Intelligence committee leaders announced a bill drafted by them which shall force tech companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc. to find a back door in their product for legal institutions to enter secretly. The bill will demand decryption on demands by the legal institutions from the companies.
In order to protect the identity of the consumers, the tech company found a way of data encryption into their gadgets. They locked the personal information of the owner into the device using encryption code which can be only broken down by passcode of the user entered by them. The bill will take extra cautionary steps to add a secret layer of power to the legal institutions seeking help from the companies. Now they may be able to demand decryption on demand from any company. The situation of the companies is said to be changing big time if the bill is passed. All the tech giants will have to find a secret vault for legal agencies where they can enter whenever required by them. As if now, no such progress has been shown in favor however the bill is expected to be passed. A lot of changes will also happen for companies like Apple especially policy updates for their devices will happen too.
