A new feature is being rolled out by Twitter pertaining to their app for iOS devices. This feature prioritizes Direct Message on the user’s timeline with the help of the prominent icon that has been added inline so that the tweets are direct o the timeline. The user can now tap the button for Direct Messaging with any of their Twitter followers and can also link the tweet from a particular timeline so that it becomes the starting point for the particular conversation. Twitter in a blog post stated that the app updates are already rolled out.

The expansion system for Direct Message has been a rumour that had hit into the markets a long time back. It is believed that this new update is said to be one that is supposed to be a mainstream messaging fully fledged service along with a Whatsapp dedicated app. The transpiration of the same is yet to happen. Recently, Twitter has also rolled out the direct message facility with 10,000 characters, this broke out the private conversation limit of 140 characters.
