The launch was headed by Jeff Williams, saw a new Apple product ‘Research Kit’ being introduced to medical researchers all across the world. After a year, the Chief Operating Officer from Apple was there to show off the latest of the medical research efforts in which Apple had succeeded.

According to the speech given by the Chief Operating Officer of Apple, using the Research Kit, Apple has been able to complete the largest research done in the field of Parkinson’s disease ever done in the world.

The next medical research package that was introduced was Healthkit. This also saw its own success story. After these two phenomenal medical research packages and their respective successes, Apple launched its latest medical research framework, the Care Kit. The Care Kit is speculated to be used in a brand new app. According to the rumors, this app will work on Parkinson’s.

Research Kit, the first medical package created by Apple, mainly focused on the data collection portion of the study behind Parkinson’s. On the other hand, the newest package, Care Kit is said to mainly focus on the data provided on the patient’s side. This data will be useful as it can be shared with not only the concerned physicians, but also the members of the family. On comparing with Research Kit, the Care Kit works totally in the opposite direction.

The best part about the first and the last framework created by Apple, the Research Kit and the Care Kit, is that they both have open sources. This will provide ample opportunity to third party developers to create lifesaving apps using the Care Kit, which will be available in just a month’s time.
