As per the reports, the new Philips monitor is said to possess a new display technology called the Quantum Dot Display. This is supposed to be the very first display device which will sport such a technology. Moreover, this device will actually be the only device available in the market which will be able to reach a 99 percent Adobe RGB color. As for the high quality display units presently available to consumers, this will give the best video quality.

The design of the product is quite simple. The best part about it is that it comes with a metal stand, unlike most other monitors, which usually come with plastic stands. The inclusion of a metal stand along with a couple of special screws to hold the monitor in place make the E6 display system much more stable than other monitors. The display unit is also quite large at 27 inches, making it a very formidable competitor in the market.

Many will think the Quantum Dots Display technology is a brand name and not the actual name for the technology, but that will be wrong. According to reports, this particular technology has been available for quite some time, though no one actually made any use of it in commercial products. These Quantum Dots are basically small nanocrystals which emit light. They are engineered in such a way that they are able to produce pure light of any variation of color. The main advantage of this newly used technology is that it will not only produce a much better quality of video, but will also not be too expensive as compared to the prices of the previous high end monitors .
