The upcoming event Apple is setting up is a traditional event they have every year. Most enthusiasts eagerly wait for this high profile event as it includes some of the most important updates and releases from the company. This particular year, the matters seem to be a bit different. Many are speculating that behind the face of new Apple releases of devices and updates of new Oss, Apple is trying to get the general public and some of the eminent people of the tech world on their side regarding the San Bernardino case.
According to reports, the actual event was supposed to happen a week earlier than it has been set. As per the new information and the various invites sent to the press and many eminent guests, the event will be held on March 21st, just one day before the high profile court showdown between Apple and FBI. Many feel that this is a very crucial event which will clearly give Apple the chance to make their public impact regarding the case.
Early this month, Bruce Sewell, the main counsel for Apple, appeared in front of the Judiciary committee of the House at a hearing. The hearing was also aptly named “The Encryption Tight Rope: Balancing American Security and Privacy”. In this particular hearing the chief counsel for Apple was asked detailed questions on the decision Apple took after getting the court order of helping the FBI regarding the San Bernardino case. The main question which rose was why the company had refused to comply with the order. To this, the counsel replied that as per the court order, if the company had actually complied with it, a big problem would have risen regarding the privacy of the country’s iPhone users. According to him, it would be quite dangerous for all.
